Beyond its cheesy and tacky design, kerupuk labels reflect the sociocultural systems in space and time – and demonstrates the identity of where the product is made. Grafis Nusantara #2 is a collaboration between Jakarta-based design studio Tiny Studio and Grafis Nusantara, with the help of the kerupuk label collection of Atras Alwafi.
The book is shrink wrapped and comes with dried kerupuk and a recipe!
Grafis Nusantara is an Indonesian sticker and label archive aiming to demystify Indonesian visual culture by challenging traditional, institutionalised archiving practices through social curation and collaborative efforts.
